111CS Build: Bolt-in the Seat & Assess the Pedals!

111CS Build: Bolt-in the Seat & Assess the Pedals!

We drilled holes to fix a stock seat rail into the car.  This car has our CF Big Bottom seat which fits the majority of people and allows for a 4pt Harness.  We drilled through and secured the rails with hardware from our sys6pack.

Once I sat in the car, with a firm seat, I was able to properly assess the position of the pedals.  Eventhough they are offset like stock, I was unhappy.  See below...In my mind, we are not restricted like a two seater with a narrow chassis, we have enough room.  I sat in my Drakan and the pedals were more centered than the Lotus.

I've taken the decision to move the pedals so they are somewhat centered with the steering wheel.  The steering column poses a challenge but we should be able to make the change that I think I want.  Fortunately, we considered this initially and did not fully seal the pedal box mount.  We'll make this change next.
