The brackets for the steering wheel have been relocated and a section cut out of the Aluminum dash. We have the Steering wheel mounted so we moved onto the pedal box.
We removed additional brackets like the center channel that hides the harness and supports the divider. The car has two holes cut, one used on LHD and the other on RHD cars. We need a hole that lives between those two. This required fabricating a new plate. We took measurements, twice and cut once.
With the support structure in place, we could bolt up the pedals. The first thing we noticed is how the pedals are offset to the right. We double checked on a stock car and sure enough, the pedals are offset with the clutch pedal lining up with the steering wheel. We decided to maintain the same position on this 111CS.
This conversion seems to favor LHD cars. The position of the steering rack appears good for us but I suspect a RHD car would need to swap to a LHD rack.
The servo may need some additional room as the radiator shroud looks like it is in the way. That should be an easy fix. We need to fabricate some new lines to plumb it up.
Naturally my mind is considering deleting this servo...
